Review: Korres Lip Butter

Being someone who tends to wear minimal make up unless out on the tiles, I've started to focus on products which enhance my features and help keep me looking healthy but natural.

Here's my review of a recent discovery which I've fallen in love with - Korres Lip Butter in Guava.

You can view the website here

Made using a combination of shea butter and rice wax, it has a 'melt on your mouth' texture, leaving lips feeling moisturised and looking shiny.

This product comes in 7 different variations - this one being colourless.

The 6g tub retails for around £7 (worth shopping around though as I've just spotted it on hqhair.com at just £5.09).

Here's a quick photo of the product applied to the back of my hand.

I've also taken a couple of my lips, both before and after applying the butter (shown below).

You can see how the butter just enhances my natural colour and adds shine. As far as lip butter goes, this one is fantastic. It's not heavy and has good staying power.

I'm so impressed with it I've ordered another shade - Jasmine - from Bath & Unwind. Here's the product. I've shopped a few times from Bath & Unwind - they have fantastic deals which change frequently.

On this occasion I  also ordered the Emma Hardie face cloths at £10 as there was an offer of a free 10ml Amazing Face Natural Lift & Sculpt Skin Plumping Serum, free delivery and a free Rituals Shower Gel with £10 purchase making all four items just £17 plus £0.85 worth of points towards a future purchase! What a great deal!

I'll be sure to add details on this once received.

Now all that remains is to sit back and wait for the mail man .......

Update: 20th October 2012

Admittedly, it's taken a little while to get around to this but, here's my update on my purchases from Bath & Unwind as detailed above......

What a great little bundle for a fab price too! More than happy with my purchases and will definitely be using the company again as they change the offers frequently - whether it be free postage, discounted items or free GWP's there's guaranteed something that'll tempt you to prise open those purse strings, especially with chrimbo around the corner!

I love the Rituals shower foam gels so this one is going straight into my stash! As for the serum, I tend to use creams only but being a freebie, I'll be giving this a go in the near future too.

So, back to the focus of the blog - Korres Butters.

Here's the lip butter in Jasmine......

As you can see, it's a subtle 'blush' kind of colour. It's going to be perfect to keep my lips moist, healthy and perfectly puckered with the cold winter lurking around the corner. No chapping here for this girl Mr Frost if you please!

Here are some closer pics of the product doing it's thing....

The lighting is darker in these pics than that in the Guava shots above but you can see it adds a subtle colour - nothing too bold or dramatic. Great if you want something for day-evening or tend to go for a more dramatic eye and neutral lip colour like I do.

Let me know if your a fan of the products or if you've tried any of the other shades and want to recommend one for my next purchase.......

Thanks all

x
